CryoHeat treating the entire transmission assembly has huge benefits; not only in 30% strength and 250% longer service life, but the dimensional stability is greatly enhanced as well. This keeps the shaft from flexing during any heavy torque load thus allowing more horsepower transferred to the rear wheel with less binding and friction. The CryoHeat Micropolishing changes the RA (Roughness Average) to a 2 RA or less. This makes the surface incredibly smooth and slippery. This enables the gears to move effortlessly from gear to gear and on the shafts without getting hung up. With the processing the transmission will have buttery smooth shifting and allows the shift dogs to engage quicker. An average increase of 2 hp is achieved with a CryoHeat and Micropolishing treated transmission.

The key to vapor blasting is that the finish is produced through flow of water borne abrasive, giving a finer finish due to the flushing action of the water. No media is impregnated into the component, nor is there any dust created by the break-up of media, unlike dry blasting where the finish is produced by sheer force of media impact.
Magnetic Particle Inspection
CryoHeat uses Magnetic Particle Inspection for a non-destructive testing process. Easily detecting surface and shallow subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their other alloys.
The process puts a magnetic field into the part. The part can be magnetized by direct or indirect magnetization. Direct magnetization occurs when the electric current is passed through the test object and a magnetic field is formed in the material. Indirect magnetization occurs when no electric current is passed through the test object, but a magnetic field is applied from an outside source. The magnetic lines of force are perpendicular to the direction of the electric current.
The presence of a surface or subsurface discontinuity in the material allows the magnetic flux to leak, this occurs because air cannot support as much magnetic field per unit volume as metals can. To identify a leak, ferrous particles are applied to a part. These are attracted to an area of flux leakage and form what is known as an indication, which is evaluated to determine its nature, cause, and course of action, if any.
The CryoHeat Process makes the steel parts in the engine & transmissions 28-30% stronger, depending on the type of steel. Aluminum is 18-21% stronger. Service life is increased 250% or better, saving you repair time and money. The engine parts hold better dimensional stability and greater heat dissipation allowing them to run cooler during operation.
